Using the authentication mode

When the Network Authentcaton feature s actvated users wll be requred to
authentcate themselves, usng ther doman user name and password, pror to
accessng selected machne functons.

When you press <COPY>, <FAX>, or <SCAN> the followng screen wll appear:
NOTE
Authentcaton wll be requred for each mode whch has been set to "ON" n "Mode
Authentcaton". (See "Settng the Authentcaton Mode" on page 9-51.)

Press [UserName].

Use the QWERTY keypad to enter the doman user name.
NOTE
If you are a user outsde the doman, but have a trusted lnk wth the regstered
machne's doman, enter the doman name after the user name wth an "@", lke
"Sam@dom_company".

Press [Enter].

Press [Password].

Use the QWERTY keypad and numerc keys to enter the password.
NOTE
The entered password wll be dsplayed usng astersks ( * ) for securty reasons.

Press [Enter].

Press [Logn].
