Automatic reception mode

Fax Ready Mode

Use it if:
Your machne uses ts own phone lne and doesn't share t wth a phone or an
answerng machne.
In this mode:
Your machne answers each call and attempts to receve a fax.
Tel/Fax Ready Mode
Use it if:
• You want to use the same lne for both fax and phone calls.
• You are usng the machne as both a fax machne and a telephone but ts
prmary use wll be as a telephone.
In this mode:
Your machne wll rng the set number of tmes (the default settng s twce). If
you don't answer the call whle rngng, your machne wll answer the call auto-
matcally. If a caller sends a fax, your machne wll begn to receve t. If a voce
call comes n, your machne wll alert you wth a specal rng promptng you to
pck up the handset. (The telephone connected to your machne wll not rng.)
You will need:
• An optonal handset or an external phone connecton.
Fax/Tel Ready Mode
Use it if:
• You want to use the same lne for both fax and phone calls.
• You are usng the machne as both a fax machne and a telephone, but ts
prmary use wll be for faxng.
In this mode:
Your machne receves faxes slently but also alerts you when a regular voce call
comes n. (Your machne wll beep once at the end of each recepton.)
When a voce call comes n, your machne wll alert you wth a specal rng (The
telephone connected to your machne wll not rng). If you hear the machne
rngng, pck up the handset.
You will need:
• An optonal handset or an external phone connecton.
Ans/Fax Ready Mode
Use it if:
You are connectng an answerng machne to your machne.
In this mode:
An answerng machne connected to your machne wll answer each call.
If a voce call comes n, the answerng machne wll record the ncomng mes-
sage.
If your machne hears a fax tone, t wll begn recevng the fax message.
You will need:
• An optonal handset or an external phone connecton.
