Special dialing characters

You can enter specal dalng characters when regsterng the address book. The
chart below brefly descrbes each of these characters.

Each pause lasts two seconds.
If you must wat for another dal tone or sgnal at any pont n the dal-
ng sequence, enter a pause.
(You can change the pause length. See "Dalng Pause" on page 9-8.)
Makes long numbers easer to be read.
Swtches from pulse-dalng to tone-dalng.
No need to use ths character when usng a tone lne.
Enters a "Dal prefix code" to access the alternatve telephone network.
"/N" must be entered before the first of number.
