Block junk fax

Your machne's Block Junk Fax feature lets you bar the gates aganst unauthorzed
ncomng faxes ("Junk fax"). But before you block junk fax, first understand how
ths feature works, to determne f t s rght for you.
There are four possble settngs for Block Junk Fax:
• Off — The feature s not actvated.
• Mode1 — Your machne checks whether the last four dgts of any phone number
n your address book match the last four dgts of the remote fax's phone number.
If t does not find a match, your machne wll dsconnect the call.
• Mode2 — Ths mode rejects any call from a number whose last four dgts match
any number n the blocked numbers lst. Your machne can hold up to 50 blocked
numbers.
• Mode3 — Ths mode rejects numbers that are not n the address book and also
rejects numbers that are n the blocked numbers lst. Ths mode lets you keep a
number on your address book for transmttng, whle stll blockng ncomng calls
by puttng t on the blocked numbers lst.
But before you actvate the Block Junk Fax feature, please consder:
• Not all fax machine owners enter their phone numbers on their machine. — Wth
Block Junk Fax actvated, your machne would reject faxes from these machnes.
• Access codes can cause confusion. — If an address book entry ends wth an extra code,
such as long-dstance codes, Block Junk Fax wll block out calls from those faxes.

To set the mode for block junk fax
