IOPn.MtcMon status: A protocol error occurred on IOPx during IOP initialization.

Description
After an IOP starts up, it attempts to perform an initialization sequence with any remote IOP.
A series of control messages are exchanged as part of this process. An illegal message was
detected by an IOP during this sequence, or a missing message was detected.

IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx initialization failed.
IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx is faulted and requires repair.
Hardware/Software
An error was detected by the Endurance server software. This message is the result of a
software error or an unexpected hardware or software transition.
Action
This message may occur if the system experiences an unexpected transition, such as loss of an
IOP or CE, during IOP initialization. This message is thresholded. If the threshold is not
exceeded, the IOP joining process is retried. If the retry is not successful, an IOP is faulted
when the threshold is exceeded.

processing of the CE operating system. A protocol error was detected between the IOP and the
active CE(s).

Hardware/Software
This message may be caused by:
• A hardware failure on the Interconnects between the IOP and the CE
• A software failure on the IOP or CE
Action
This message can be ignored when reported with a message that resulted in the removal of an
IOP. Examine the event log to determine if such a failure occurred. If none is found, contact
your service provider to report this message.

reinstall them if necessary.
