Chapter 13
IOPn.MtcMon Fault Handler status: Removed CEx because of divergence induced by a path error.
Variables
x – the ID of the CE that was removed
Severity
Error
Description
Occasionally, a condition that requires the removal of an IOP can also generate divergence
between the CEs.The Endurance software detects this condition and prevents divergence by
proactively removing a CE along with the IOP.
When a CE needs to be removed along with an IOP to prevent divergence, this message is
logged. This message is always logged with a message that results in the removal of an IOP.

IOPn.MtcMon Fault Handler status: The Fault Handler received a packet from another IOP that is not a member of this
Endurance system. This may mean that you have multiple Endurance systems on your network with the same
Endurance Kit Number.
This problem should be corrected immediately; otherwise, you may lose network packets or encounter network
connectivity problems.

Description
The local IOP is receiving packets from an IOP other than one that is the opposite member of
this Endurance system. Because the network address used to route these packets is based on
the Endurance kit number, this indicates that there is another system on the local area network
that has been installed with the same kit number.
This problem should be corrected immediately. Network traffic between the Endurance
systems in conflict and other systems on the network may become disrupted. You may lose
packets or otherwise encounter network connectivity problems.
