action forceshut

To configure a forced shutdown of a module, a crossbar, ASCII or the entire switch when an Embedded
Event Manager (EEM) applet is triggered, use the action forceshut command.
Syntax Description number

reset-reason
Defaults None.

Examples The following example shows how to log an EEM applet exception:
switch# configure terminal

switch(config-applet)# action 1.0 forceshut module 2 reset-reason "flapping links"

action number [.number2] forceshut [module slot | xbar xbar-number] reset-reason seconds
Number can be any number up to 16 digits. The range for number2 is from
0 to 9.
(Optional) Specifies slot range. The range is from 1 to 10, or a substituted
parameter.
(Optional) Specifies xbar-number. The range is from 1 to 4 or a substituted
parameter.
Specifies reset reason. The reason is a alphanumeric string up to 80
characters.
