RAP 2.75 Stacker Book to Pusher
Sensor
Stacker I/O PWB Input 5
The book to pusher sensor is a retro-reflective
sensor that detects when books have exited the
roller tray and are in front of the pusher, ready to
be pushed out onto the delivery bed. The sen-
sor is mounted behind the pusher and below the
roller table (Figure 2-114). The reflector is
mounted on the fingered gate (Figure 2-114).
Possible Fault Indicators
"Stacker Book Jam Book to
Pusher" message is displayed when
there is no jam in the pusher.
A jam is not detected when there is a
book stuck in front of the pusher.
The roller tray tilts to drop a book but
never retracts to receive a new book.
Initial Actions
Check that the sensor is aligned with the reflec-
tor mounted to the fingered gate.
Check that all cables between the trimmer and
Stacker are securely fastened and are not dam-
aged.
Check and repair loose or damaged wires 66,
73, and 74 at the Stacker electrical panel.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and go to the
Stacker diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 In-
put/Output Diagnostics). Make sure that the
sensor is not obstructed. Is input "Book To
Pusher" off?

Disconnect wire 66. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Book To Pusher" switch
off?

Disconnect power and replace the
Stacker I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Adjust the sensor (GP 6.6 Retro-reflective
Sensors) and replace if faulty (PL 5.58 Out-
feed Stacker 58000TCA (4/9) or PL 5.64
Stacker Elec. Panel EE-3518).
2. Short wire 66 to 74. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Book To Pusher" switch
on?

N
Disconnect power and replace the Stacker
I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory PWB Re-
placement).
3. Adjust the sensor (GP 6.6 Retro-reflective
Sensors) and replace if faulty (PL 5.58 Out-
feed Stacker 58000TCA (4/9) or PL 5.64
Stacker Elec. Panel EE-3518).
