Elevator I/O PWB Input 11
The pusher home sensor detects when the
pusher cylinder is in its home position (com-
pletely retracted). This sensor is used to pre-
vent the lift plates from lifting whenever the
pusher is not in its home position. The sensor is
attached to the pusher cylinder (Figure 2-100).
Possible Fault Indicators

"Elevator Book Push Error"
message is displayed.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer, Ele-
vator, and Tilt Infeed Conveyor are securely fas-
tened and are not damaged.
Check and repair loose or damaged wires 46,
73, and 74 at the Elevator electrical panel (Fig-
ure 2-101).
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and main air ON.
Is the pusher cylinder completely retracted
and in its home position?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.56 Elevator Pusher Cylinder.
2. Go to the Elevator diagnostic screen (GP
6.2 Input/Output Diagnostics). Is input
"Pusher Home" on?
Y N
Short wire 46 to 74. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Pusher Home" switch
on?
2. Status Indicator RAPs
Y N
Disconnect power and replace the Ele-
vator I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Adjust either the sensor or actuator magnet
by loosening set screw in sensor or magnet
and slide sensor or magnet until input
comes on. If input still does not come on, re-
place defective switch (PL 5.37 Elev. Electri-
cal Panel EE-3523).
3. Go to the Elevator diagnostic screen (GP
6.2 Input/Output Diagnostics) and enable
outputs. Switch on output "Book Push".
Does the pusher cylinder move toward the
trimmer completely?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.56 Elevator Pusher Cylinder.
4. On the diagnostic screen is input "Pusher
Home" off?
Y N
Disconnect wire 46. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Pusher Home" switch
off?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace the Ele-
vator I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Replace defective switch (PL 5.37 Elev.
Electrical Panel EE-3523).
Repair complete.
