sor
Elevator I/O PWB Input 2
The book in from binder sensor detects books
entering the Tilt Infeed Conveyor. This sensor
also wakes the trimmer from sleep mode when
triggered.
Possible Fault Indicators
The machine never enters sleep mode.
Books accumulate in the tilt infeed con-
veyor.
The machine does not return to ready
mode.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer, Ele-
vator, and Tilt Infeed Conveyor are securely fas-
tened and are not damaged.
Check for loose or damaged wires 42, 73, and
74 at the Elevator electrical panel (Figure 2-86).
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and go to the El-
evator diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 Input/Out-
put Diagnostics). Make sure that the sensor
is not obstructed. Is input "Book In From
Binder" off?
Y
N
Disconnect wire 42 from the Elevator I/O
PWB (Figure 2-86). Does the input switch
off?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the Ele-
vator I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
CMT-130TC Book Trimmer
Adjust the sensor (GP 6.7 Diffuse Sensors)
and replace if faulty (PL 5.47 Tilt Conv. Elec.
Panel EE-3547).
2. Short wire 42 to wire 74. Does the input
switch on?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the Elevator
I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory PWB Re-
placement).
3. Adjust the sensor (GP 6.7 Diffuse Sensors)
and replace if faulty (PL 5.47 Tilt Conv. Elec.
Panel EE-3547).
