GP 6.10 Micro-Switches

Micro-switches are small, lever-operated, me-
chanical switches. They are used in the Eleva-
tor/Tilt Conveyor and Stacker accessories.
When the lever is actuated, it either closes or
opens the contacts within the switch, depending
on where it is used.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and click the "Di-
agnostic" button to bring up the diagnostic
screen. Click on the applicable accessory
diagnostic button to bring up the accessory's
diagnostic screen.
2. Actuate the switch on and off by manually
pressing the actuator arm and releasing it. If
the switch and main PWB are working cor-
rectly, an audible tone will be emitted from
the main PWB. Does the switch change
state properly?

Perform the RAP associated with the spe-
cific switch.
3. Switch the main power OFF and lockout
power to the machine.
WARNING
Disconnect and lockout power as described
in the Power Lockout Procedure on page ix.
There can be 120VAC at the micro-switches!
4. Loosen the switch mounting screws or
bracket screws.
5. Adjust the switch or bracket such that the
switch clicks when actuated, and clicks
again when unactuated.
6. With the switch in its proper position, tighten
the mounting screws.

7. Switch the main power ON and click the "Di-
agnostic" button to bring up the diagnostic
screen. Click on the applicable accessory
diagnostic button to bring up the accessory's
diagnostic screen.
8. Actuate the switch on and off use the actuat-
ing devise (door, bracket, etc.) to actuate the
switch. If the switch and main PWB are
working correctly, an audible tone will be
emitted from the main PWB. Does the
switch change state properly?
Y N
Readjust switch and/or actuator and repeat
this test until the switch functions as it does
when actuated manually.
The switch adjustment is complete.
