RAP 2.68 Stacker Roller Motor

Stacker I/O PWB Output 1
The Stacker roller motor is located under the
roller tray (Figure 2-106). The motor drives the
roller axles by a series of polyurethane belts.
The rollers are free to move on the axles, allow-
ing books to coast as necessary.
Possible Fault Indicators
The rollers never spin.
The rollers spin continuously without
stopping.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer and
Stacker are securely fastened and are not dam-
aged.
Check for a tripped circuit breaker CB1 on the
Stacker electrical panel.
Check for loose or damaged motor wires at the
Stacker electrical panel.
If lift motor runs continuously, check the Book In
sensor (RAP 2.74 Stacker Book In Tray Sensor).
Procedure
1. Perform RAP 2.66 Stacker Input Power to
make sure the Stacker is getting proper
power.
2. Switch the trimmer power ON and press the
green start button to initialize the trimmer.
Remove the Stacker's rear cover to access
the Stacker electrical panel.
3. With the hydraulic motor is still running, go
to the Stacker diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 In-
put/Output Diagnostics) and enable outputs.
Activate the "Roller Motor" output.

4. Is there 24 VDC between wires 73 and 79 at
SSR1?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the Stacker
I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory PWB Re-
placement).
5. Is there 120 VAC between wire 26 at SSR1
and wire 22 at the electrical panel?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace SSR1 (PL
5.64 Stacker Elec. Panel EE-3518).
6. Disconnect power and replace the motor (PL
5.61 Outfeed Stacker 58000TCA (7/9)).
