RAP 2.76 Stacker Pusher Cylinder
Sensor
Stacker I/O PWB Input 2
The Stacker cylinder sensor detects when the
pusher cylinder is in the partially extended posi-
tion. This position is used to receive thin books
from the roller tray. The sensor is attached to the
pusher cylinder (Figure 2-116).
Possible Fault Indicators
"Stacker Push Position Error"
message is displayed.
The pusher does not open to the right
spacing to receive either thin books or
thick books.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer and
Stacker are securely fastened and are not dam-
aged.
Check and repair loose or damaged wires 69,
73, and 74 at the Stacker electrical panel.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and main air ON.
Is the pusher cylinder partially extended,
about half way out?
Y
N
Go to RAP 2.71 Stacker Pusher Cylinder.
2. Go to the Stacker diagnostic screen (GP 6.2
Input/Output Diagnostics). Is input "Cyl.
Prox" on?
Y
N
Short wire 69 to 74. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Cyl. Prox" switch on?
2. Status Indicator RAPs
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the
Stacker I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Adjust either the sensor or actuator magnet
by loosening set screw in sensor or magnet
and slide sensor or magnet until input
comes on. If input still does not come on, re-
place defective switch (PL 5.64 Stacker
Elec. Panel EE-3518).
3. Go to the Stacker diagnostic screen (GP 6.2
Input/Output Diagnostics) and enable out-
puts. Switch on output "Book Push". Does
the pusher cylinder move toward the trimmer
completely?

Go to RAP 2.71 Stacker Pusher Cylinder.
4. On the diagnostic screen is input "Cyl. Prox"
off?
Y
N
Disconnect wire 69. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Pusher Home" switch
off?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the
Stacker I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Replace defective switch (PL 5.64 Stacker
Elec. Panel EE-3518).
Repair complete.
