RAP 2.77 Stacker Tray Full Sensor

Stacker I/O PWB Input 6
The tray full sensor detects when the Stacker's
delivery bed is full of books. It senses the slid-
ing back stop when it is at the outermost posi-
tion.
The sensor is located near the end of the deliv-
ery bed, under the narrow side cover (Figure
2-117).
Possible Fault Indicators
"Stacker Output Full" message
is displayed, but the delivery bed is not
full.
The Stacker continues to accept books,
even when the delivery bed is full.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer and
Stacker are securely fastened and are not dam-
aged.
Check and repair loose or damaged wires 68,
73, and 74 at the Stacker electrical panel (Figure
2-118).
Procedure
1. Remove all books from the Stacker and
slide the back stop all the way forward, away
from the front end of the stacker.
2. Switch the main power ON and go to the
Stacker diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 In-
put/Output Diagnostics). Is input "Tray Full
Prox" off?
Y
N
Disconnect wire 68. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Tray Full Prox" switch
off?

Disconnect power and replace the
Stacker I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory
PWB Replacement).
Adjust the sensor (GP 6.5 Proximity Sen-
sors) and replace if faulty (PL 5.59 Outfeed
Stacker 58000TCA (5/9) or PL 5.64 Stacker
Elec. Panel EE-3518).
3. Short wire 68 to 74. On the diagnostic
screen does input "Tray Full Prox" switch
on?
Y
N
Disconnect power and replace the Stacker
I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory PWB Re-
placement).
4. Adjust the sensor (GP 6.5 Proximity Sen-
sors) and replace if faulty (PL 5.59 Outfeed
Stacker 58000TCA (5/9) or PL 5.64 Stacker
Elec. Panel EE-3518).
