RAP 2.8 Cooling Fans

Three fans cool the hydraulic system. Two are
located inside the machine, next to the hydraulic
power unit, and the third fan is located on the
rear side of the machine (Figure 2-7). The fans
should always be on when the power is switched
on.
Possible Fault Indicators

The cooling fans will not switch on.
Initial Actions
Switch the main power ON and check if all fans
are running. If the touch screen display also
does not turn on, go to RAP 2.4 Input Power and
RAP 2.5 DC Power to troubleshoot the input
power.
Procedure
1. Is there 120 VAC between wires 21 and 22
at each fan?
Y N
Check and repair any loose wires 21 and 22.
2. Disconnect main power and replace the
faulty fan (PL 5.1 Main Assembly 59000
(1/14)).
