GP 6.8 Optical Distance Sensor

The CMT-130TC uses an optical distance sen-
sor to determine the thickness of books just be-
fore they enter the gripper. A red beam is emit-
ted from the sensor onto the conveyor belt, indi-
cating that the sensor is on. The sensor can be
recalibrated if necessary using the following pro-
cedure.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and press the
"Setup" button to bring up the setup options.
2. Press the "Service Info" tab to open the Ser-
vice Info screen. Click on the "Enable Tabs
Code" text box, enter in the code 6125 and
press enter. This will unlock all of the locked
tabs.
3. Press the "Accuracy Adjust" tab to open the
Accuracy Adjust screen.
4. Click on the "Thickness Sensor" button
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to re-
calibrate the sensor. Exit the setup screen
when finished.
6. Perform RAP 2.49 Book Thickness Sensor
to make sure the sensor is functioning
properly.
