GP 6.18 Scheduled Maintenance

Regular maintenance extends the life of the trim-
mer. Maintenance tasks are broken down into
weekly, semi-annual, and annual.
Weekly Procedure
WARNING
Disconnect and lockout power as described
in the Power Lockout Procedure on page ix.
Clean:
Do not use petroleum or acid-based
cleaners or solvents to clean the console
or any part of the trimmer and accesso-
ries. Doing so may result in permanent
damage.
1. Clean the console using a mild, non-abra-
sive soap and water solution and a moist
cloth.
2. Clean the machine exterior and accessory
exteriors using a mild, non-abrasive soap
and water solution and a moist cloth.
3. Clean paper dust and paper scrap from the
inside of the machine using a vacuum.
4. Clean the trimmer's table surfaces, Elevator
shelves, and conveyor belts using a mild,
non-abrasive soap and water solution and a
moist cloth.
5. Remove the lower front door panel.
6. Clean the hydraulic valves, hoses, fittings,
and manifold using a mild, non-abrasive
soap and water solution and a moist cloth.
7. Clean the fan covers using a dry cloth.
8. Clean paper dust and paper scrap from the
area underneath the table.

9. Go to Section RAP 2.80 Final Actions/Sys-
tem Checks if closing the service call.
Semi-Annual Procedure
1. Perform ADJ 4.4 Lubrication.
2. Perform ADJ 4.5 Accuracy Adjustment.
3. Perform ADJ 4.8 Timing and Conveyor Belt .
4. Perform the Weekly Procedure.
5. Reinstall all covers.
6. Place the trimmer and accessory equipment
into its normal operating position according
to the Installation and Operator's Manual.
7. Perform the System Safety Check found in
the Installation and Operator's Manual.
8. Go to Section RAP 2.80 Final Actions/Sys-
tem Checks if closing the service call.
Annual Procedure
1. Perform REP 4.11 Oil / Filter Change.
2. Perform REP 4.12 Air Filter Change.
3. Perform the Semi-Annual Procedure.
4. Go to Section RAP 2.80 Final Actions/Sys-
tem Checks if closing the service call.
