RAP 2.65 Elevator Pusher Interlock

The pusher interlock prevents any movement of
the lift plates when the pusher is not completely
retracted and in its home position. The switch is
located near the pusher cylinder under the top
plate (Figure 2-102).
Possible Fault Indicators

"Elevator Book Push Error"
message is displayed.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer, Ele-
vator, and Tilt Infeed Conveyor are securely fas-
tened and are not damaged.
Check and repair loose or damaged wires 24
and 25 at the Elevator electrical panel (Figure
2-103) and at the interlock switch.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and main air ON.
Is the pusher cylinder completely retracted
and in its home position?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.56 Elevator Pusher Cylinder.
2. Press the green start button to initialize the
trimmer. Remove the Elevator motor cover
to access the Elevator electrical panel. Is
there 120 VAC between wire 24 at circuit
breaker CB1 and wire 22 at the electrical
panel?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.55 Elevator Lift Motor.
3. With the hydraulic motor still running, is
there 120 VAC between wire 25 at SSR1
and wire 22 at the electrical panel?

Y N
Adjust pusher interlock switch so that it the
actuator is depressed properly when pusher
cylinder is retraced. If problem still exists,
replace defective switch (PL 5.29 Elevator
56421TCA (2/7)).
4. Go to the Elevator diagnostic screen (GP
6.2 Input/Output Diagnostics) and enable
outputs. Switch on output "Book Push".
Does the pusher cylinder move toward the
trimmer completely?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.56 Elevator Pusher Cylinder.
5. With the hydraulic motor still running, is
there 0 VAC between wire 25 at SSR1 and
wire 22 at the electrical panel?
Y N
Replace defective switch (PL 5.29 Elevator
56421TCA (2/7)).
Repair Complete.
