ADJ 4.18 Knife Latch

The proximity sensor on the knife latch may be
adjusted according to the following procedure.
Procedure
1. Switch the main power ON and press the
green start button to initialize trimmer. This
will raise the knife mechanism off the knife
latch if it had drifted down.
2. Go to the diagnostic screen (GP 6.2 In-
put/Output Diagnostics). This will assist in
the adjusting of the sensor by emitting an
audio beep whenever the sensor is activated
or deactivated.
3. Open the rear door to access the knife latch.
4. Loosen the proximity sensor mounting
screws.
5. Push the latch block all the way back until
the air cylinder is fully retracted.
6. Adjust the proximity sensor to within 0.010"
(0.03 mm) of the latch block. Use the audio
beep as an indicator of when the sensor is
activating properly
7. Tighten the proximity mounting screws,
making sure not to move the sensor while
tightening.
8. Close the rear door and replace the waste
bin.
