RAP 2.6 Touch Screen Display

The touch screen display comes on when power
is switched on. It remains on until a time of inac-
tivity is reached that is equal to the sleep timer
setting.
Possible Fault Indicators
The touch screen display does not come
on.
The LED lights do not switch on.
"Connection Lost to I/O Motor
Controller!" message appears re-
peatedly.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables are connected securely at
the back of the console. Check that the cables
connecting the console to the main PWB are
connected securely at the main PWB.
The touch screen display and the enclosure fans
are powered from the same source (120 VAC).
Switch the main power ON to check if the touch
screen display comes on. If the enclosure fans
also do not turn on, go to RAP 2.4 Input Power
to troubleshoot the input power.
Procedure
1. Is there 120 VAC between display panel
wires 21 and 22 (Figure 2-5)?
Y
N
Check loose or damaged wires 21 and 22.
Go to RAP 2.4 Input Power.
2. Is there 16 VAC between the two blue wires
and also 18 VAC between the two red wires
(Figure 2-5)?
Y
N
Replace transformer on console (PL 5.18
Control Console EE-3456-6).
2. Status Indicator RAPs
3. Check fuses PCF1 and PCF2 (Figure 2-5).
Is resistance less than 2 Ohms on both
fuses?
Y
N
Replace fuse.
4. Disconnect main power and replace the dis-
play PWB (REP 4.24 Console PWB Re-
placement).
