Flowchart A: Basic Start-Up Sequence

Figure 4.6
describes a basic start-up sequence for the drive and motor system. This
sequence may vary slightly depending on application. The drive default parameter
settings can be used in simple applications that do not require high precision.

Set the motor control mode A1-02. Refer to selecting the control
Set/check the V/f pattern to ensure it meets the motor specification.
Use parameter A1-06 (application selection) for basic application
* b1-01, b1-02 for frequency reference and run command source
* H1-xx, H2-xx, H3-xx, H4-xx, H6-xx to configure the analog/digital
I/O terminals.
* d1-xx speed reference values if necessary
* C1-xx, C2-xx for Acceleration/Deceleration times and S-curves
* C6-01 Duty Mode
Run the motor without load, check the operation and verify, external
Couple the load or machine to the motor. Run the drive and motor
Fine tune and set application parameters (e.g. PID,...) if necessary.

Install and wire the drive as explained in chapters 1, 2, and 3
Apply main power on to the drive.
Refer to safety messages concerning application of power.
