: Checksum
chksum
The checksum field consists of a "*" and two hex digits representing the exclusive
OR of all characters between, but not including, the "$" and "*" characters
Note
This datagram format is obsolete, and it is no longer in use on new designs. It has
been replaced by datagram PSIMP-D1.

Simrad PSIMP-F is a proprietary datagram format created by Kongsberg Maritime
to provide the type and configuration of PS and PI sensors used by a Simrad catch
monitoring system.
