Make sure that you select a transducer that is supported by your current license.

Insert the serial number.
This serial number is very important, because you will need it as a reference
identification when the ES80 is calibrated. Some new Simrad transducers with
built-in "intelligence" will automatically provide this serial number.

Type the name you wish to use into the
Type any name that you wish to use to identify the transducer. The name you select
will only be used to identify the transducer in other dialog boxes. It is not used in
the echo data that you export. If you do not have a computer keyboard connected to
your ES80 system, select the

Select mounting method.

Specify the orientation of the transducer beam.

Provide the accurate physical location of the transducer with reference to the
vessel's coordinate system.
Use the centre of the transducer face as reference, and define the offset values
related to the Ship Origin.

Select the offset value on the X axis (fore-and-aft direction) from the Ship
Origin. Adjust with a positive value for X if the transducer is located ahead
of the ship origin.

Select the offset value on the Y axis (athwartship) from the Ship Origin.
Adjust with a positive value for Y if the transducer is located on the starboard
side of the ship origin.

Select the offset value on the Z axis (vertical) from the Ship Origin. Adjust
with a positive value for Z if the transducer is located under the ship origin.
