Turning on the ES80

In order to use the ES80, you must first turn it on. You must first turn on the display,
the Processor Unit, the transceiver(s), and the Ethernet switch (if applicable). After this
you can start the ES80 program.
Prerequisites
The ES80 is installed as specified in the ES80 Installation manual. Minimum one Wide
Band Transceiver (WBT) with one or more transducers has been connected. All relevant
navigation sensors are operational.
Caution
You must never start ES80 transmissions ("pinging") when the ship is in dry dock. The
transducer may be damaged if it transmits in open air.
Procedure

Make sure that each transceiver is turned on.

Turn on the display and the Processor Unit, and start the ES80 program.

Once the ES80 program has started, observe that the presentation fills the entire
screen.

On the
menu in the top right corner of the presentation, select
Main
and then choose the default settings.
