Description
The biomass and size distribution values are
calculated based on the echo data collected by
the ES80. Use the
Calculation Interval
limit the source data used by these calculations.
You can base the calculations on data collected
• within a given time frame
• from a defined number of pings
• from the data used to create a portion of the
current view

Calculation Interval
Details
Time
This option allows you to calculate the biomass and fish distribution based on the
echo data collected during the last elapsed seconds or minutes.
Ping
This option allows you to calculate the biomass and fish distribution based on the
echo data collected during the latest number of "pings".
View
This option allows the ES80 to calculate the biomass and fish distribution based on
the echo data used to create the current echogram view. You can choose to use the
full view, or a portion of it. Move the horizontal selector sideways to choose.
Apply to All Channels
Select this box to apply the current selection to all the channels on your ES80.
In this context, the phrase channel is used as a common term to identify the
combination of transceiver, transducer and operating frequency.
