BRAKE SYSTEM – REAR BRAKE(Drum Brake)
3. CONNECT BRAKE LINE TO WHEEL CYLINDER
Using SST, connect the brake line.
SST 09751–36011
Torque: 15 N–m (155 kgf–cm, 11 ft–lbf)
4. APPLY HIGH TEMPERATURE GREASE TO BACK
– ING PLATE AND ADJUSTER
(a) Apply high temperature grease to the brake shoe
contact surfaces.
(b) Apply high temperature grease to the adjuster bolt
threads and ends.
5. INSTALL ADJUSTER ONTO REAR SHOE
Set the adjuster and return spring and install the
adjusting lever spring.
6. INSTALL REAR SHOE
(a) Using pliers, connect the parking brake cable to the
lever.
(b) Pass the parking brake cable through the notch in the
anchor plate.
(c) Set the rear shoe in place with the end of the shoe
inserted in the wheel cylinder and the other end in the
anchor plate.
