BRAKE SYSTEM – REAR BRAKE(Drum Brake)
4. INSPECT REAR BRAKE LINING AND DRUM FOR
PROPER CONTACT
If the contact between the brake lining and drum is
improper, repair the lining with a brake shoe grinder,
or replace the brake shoe assembly.
REAR DRUM BRAKE INSTALLATION
HINT: Assemble the parts in the correct direction as
shown.
1. ASSEMBLE WHEEL CYLINDER
(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the cups and
pistons as shown.
(b) Assemble the wheel cylinder.
HINT: Install in proper direction only.
Spring
2 cups
2 pistons
2 boots
2. INSTALL WHEEL CYLINDER
Install the wheel cylinder on the backing plate with the
2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N–m (100 kgf–cm, 7 ft–lbf)
