Viewing neighbor PoE PSE information using EDM

Use this procedure to display LLDP PoE PSE information for the remote system.
Procedure steps
1. From the navigation tree, double-click Edit.
2. In the Edit tree, double-click Diagnostics.
3. In the Diagnostic tree, double-click 802.1AB.
4. In the 802.1AB tree, double-click Port MED.
5. On the work area, click the Neighbor PoE PSE tab.
Variable definitions
The following table describes the Neighbor PoE PSE tab fields.
Configuration — System
Variable
LLDP Port MED configuration using EDM
Value
Indicates the TimeFilter for this entry.
Identifies the local port on which the remote
system information is received.
Indicates the arbitrary local integer value
used by this agent to identify a particular
MSAP. An agent is encouraged to assign
monotonically increasing index values to
new entries, starting with one, after each
reboot.
Defines the type of Power-via-MDI (Power
over Ethernet) advertised by the remote
device:
• pseDevice: indicates that the device is
advertised as a Power Sourcing Entity
(PSE).
• pdDevice: indicates that the device is
advertised as a Powered Device (PD).
• none: indicates that the device does not
support PoE.
