ENGINE

Introduction

The engine removal and installation procedure
is provided in this manual. Refer to the engine
manufacturer's owner's and service manuals for
maintenance intervals and service procedures.

Engine Removal

1. Start the unit and raise the loader arm assembly
to the fully raised position. Install the cylinder lock
in the lift cylinder (Fig 018).

2. Remove the belt cover and rear cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then the
positive cable. Remove the battery from the unit.

4. Remove the drive belt; refer to Drive Belt
Removal and Replacement, page 8-2.
5. Loosen the two set screws on the engine drive
pulley (Fig. 019).
6. Remove engine drive pulley after retracting the
idler pulley assembly (Fig. 020).
