FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the upper bearing outer race using the spe- ".
cial tools.
TOOLS:
Ball race remover set 07953-MJ10000
- Remover attachment 07946-MJ10100
- Driver shaft 07946·MJ10200 or
07953·MJ1000B

Remove the lower bearing outer race using the spe­
cial tool and suitable shaft.
TOOL: .
Bearing temover 07946-3710500
Install the steering stem nut onto the steering stem
to prevent the threads from being damaged when
removing the lower bearing inner race.
Remove the lower bearing inner race with a chisel
or equivalent tool;being careful not to damage the
stem.
Remove the dust seal.

INNER RACE
Apply specified grease (page 1-19) to a new dust • • • • •
seal lip and install it onto the steering stem.
Press a new lower bearing inner race using a special
tool and hyoraulic press.
