Bearing Replacement - Honda CBF600SA Service Manual

Remove the steering stem bearing adjustment nut
using the special tool.
TOOL:
Steering stem socket
Remove the bolt and separate brake pipe joint.
CBF600SA/NA only:
Remove the mounting bolt and stay.
Be careful not to
bend or damage
the brake pipes.
Remove the following:
– Dust seal
– Upper bearing inner race
– Upper bearing
– Steering stem
– Lower bearing

BEARING REPLACEMENT

Replace the races using the Ball Race Remover Set
Always replace the
as described in the following procedure.
bearings and races
as a set.

Ball race remover set
– Driver attachment, A (1)
– Driver attachment, B (2)
– Driver shaft assembly (3)
– Bearing remover, A (4)
– Bearing remover, B (5)
– Assembly base (6)
