• Worn or scored drive pinion and splines
• Worn pinion and ring gears
• Excessive backlash between pinion and ring gears
• Oil level too low
• Worn or damaged pinion gear and/or pinion joint splines
Oil

• Clogged breather

• Loose case cover bolts
Excessive rear wheel backlash
• Worn drive shaft splines
• Excessive backlash between pinion and ring gears
• Worn driven flange and ring gear splines
