Remove the mainshaft and countershaft together.

Disassemble the mainshaft and countershaft.

INSPECTION
GEARS
Check the gear dogs. dog slots and teeth for dam­
age or excessive wear.
COUNTERSHAFT
DOG
Measure the I.D. of each gear.
SERVICE LIMITS:
M3, M5 gears: 28.04 mm (1.104 in)
C1, C4 gears: 31.05 mm (1.222 in)
C2 gear: 24.04 mm (0.946 in)
