Loading Material
3. Observe the status information displayed for each of the Materials Status Icons. A Material
Status Icon with a dashed gray border indicates that a material spool is not present in the
material's corresponding material bay. A completely gray Head Status Icon indicates that
material is not loaded to that head.
4. Open the material bay drawer.
5. Insert the material spool you'd like to load into its appropriate slot within the material bay.
6. Open the Material Details page corresponding to the material bay for which you'd like to
load material by touching its Material Status Icon on the screen.
7. Slowly turn the material spool and feed filament through the filament opening and into the
drive mechanism. Turn the spool and feed filament until the Load button refreshes and is
displayed in its selectable state.

Pull up on the latch securing the lid corresponding to the material bay you want to load,
this will unlock the lid.
Open the lid to expose the slot where the material spool will be inserted.
Place the material spool into the slot making sure the filament tail is facing the back
wall of the material bay.
Once the spool is inserted, the Material Status Icon will refresh and display a solid
yellow border with a notification badge directly above the icon.
Filament needs to be advanced approximately 2 inches (50.8 mm) to reach the filament
present switch.
When feeding filament, ensure that filament does not fall over the edge of the material
spool to avoid cross-winding and/or load errors.
