Drive system Front belt tensioner - Overhaul (K.64.C.40.11 -
F.10.A.40)
1. Removal
Loosen and remove the nut (1) and lock washer (2)
from the mounting bolt (8).
Remove the idler wheel assembly (3) from the lever
(4).
Remove the washer (5), bushing (6), washer (7) and
mounting bolt (8) from the idler wheel (3).
2. Disassembly
Place the idler wheel (1) on a workbench and re-
move the retaining ring (2) from each side of the idler
wheel.
3. Press out the left bearing (1), right bearing (2) and
sleeve (3) as an assembly.
Press the bearings (1) and (2), off of the sleeve (3).
4. Inspection
Clean all parts in a suitable solvent and allow to air
dry.
5. Rotate the bearings by hand and check for rough-
ness or binding. Replace as necessary.
6. Inspect the idler wheel for cracks, damage or exces-
sive wear. Repair or replace as necessary.
