7. Inspection
Clean and dry all parts in a suitable cleaning solvent.
Inspect all internal parts for wear, damage or discol-
oration from heat. Replace any worn damaged, or
discolored parts.
Inspect the clutch housing (1) for wear. Replace the
housing when the corners are rounded and grooves
are present where the pins press against the hous-
ing.
Inspect the pin pockets of the pin cylinder (2) for
burrs. Remove all burrs which could restrict pin
movement.
Inspect the springs for heat discoloration and cracks.
Inspect the pins for wear, cracks, discoloration and
height. The measured height of the pins should not

be less than 16.2 mm (0.638 in).
