Drum Left hand bearing - Install (K.42.F.52.12 - F.10.A.15)
1. Install bearing (5) with gently strokes in bearing hous-
ing (6).
If necessary, replace feltring (12).
Install seal ring (7), ring (8) and circlip (9).
Install ring (10) on the straw flow beater shaft.
Install the bearing housing with the bearing on straw
flow beater shaft (11).
NOTE: Do not vibrate or hammer the bearing on the shaft.
Heat up the bearing until maximum 125 degrees C (257 F
) or press it on the shaft.
2. Install four bolts (4).
Install ring (2) and key (1).
Install grease line (3) and tighten the nipple to a min-
imum torque of 8.5 Nm (6.3 ft.lbs).
Next operation:
Install the drum variator drive disks (refer to Drum variator Drive disc - Install (K.40.B.43.50 - F.10.A.15)).
