Fan variator Belt - Remove (K.62.B.53.44 - F.10.A.10)
1. Start the engine and engage the threshing system.
2. Set the cleaning fan speed to maximum.
3. Stop the engine.
4. If not already removed, remove the fan shields on
the right side of the combine to gain access to the
variator. See Fan - Remove (K.62.B.52 - F.10.A.10)
for shield removal procedure.
5. Place a wedge (1) between the driven sheaves to
keep the sheave halves separated under spring ten-
sion.
6. Remove the minimum speed adjusting nut (1) on the
variator arm (2).
7. Enter the cab and turn the ignition key (1) to the "ON"
(Contact) position (2) Do not start the engine.
NOTE: The automatic computer control circuits that nor-
mally operate control functions on the combine must be
overridden and controlled manually to complete the belt
removal procedure.
