13. If the bearings are to be replaced, carefully remove
the small bearing race (1) from the gearbox case (2).
NOTE: Bearing and bearing race must be replaced as a
set if replacement is necessary.
14. Inspection
Clean all parts in a suitable solvent and allow to air
dry.
15. Inspect the output shaft for wear or damage. Repair
or replace as necessary.
16. Rotate the bearings by hand to check for roughness
or binding. Replace as necessary.
17. Inspect each bearing race for pitting, signs of wear
or damage. Replace as necessary.
NOTE: Bearing and bearing race must be replaced as a

18. Inspect the output shaft gear for wear, chips or other
damage. Replace as necessary.
