7. With the fan speed set to maximum, check the belt
depth (1), at the driven side of the variator. The belt
depth should be 54 mm (2.12 in).
8. To adjust the belt depth on the driven sheave, turn
the inner nut (2) to achieve the correct belt depth.
9. With the belt depth at 54 mm (2.12 in) at the driven
sheave, measure the gap (3) between the inner and
outer drive sheave. A minimum gap of 1 mm(0.039
in) must be maintained. If the gap is less than the
specified minimum, the belt depth must be reduced
until the gap is at least 1 mm(0.039 in) .
