Fan variator - Adjust (K.62.B.53 - F.45.A.01)
1. Set the fan speed to minimum. See Operators man-
ual for the correct procedure.
2. With the fan speed set to minimum, check the belt
depth (1), at the drive side of the variator. The belt
depth should be 40 mm (1.6 in).
3. To adjust the belt depth on the drive sheave, turn the
outer nut (2) to achieve the correct belt depth.
4. With the belt depth at 40 mm (1.6 in) at the drive
sheave, measure the gap (3) between the inner and
outer driven sheave. A minimum gap of 1 mm(0.039
in) must be maintained. If the gap is less than the
specified minimum, the belt depth must be reduced
until the gap is at least 1 mm(0.039 in).
