Location: The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is located
on top of the transmission.
Removing and installing Vehicle Speed Sensor
- Disconnect harness connector from sensor.
- Remove retaining bolt and pull out sensor.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
Retainer bolt tightening torque: 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

on the throttle valve housing (engine). Component
design may vary depending on the engine
application.
