Biometric Readers
c.
Select the reader Type:
For LNL-1300: Select LNL-1300 (Single Interface).
For LNL-1320: Select LNL-1320 (Dual Interface).

Select "Bioscrypt RS-485" as the reader Output. (Alternate Reader is automatically enabled.)

Select the Port from the access panel that the LNL-1300/1320 is connected to.
f.
For LNL-1320 (Dual Interface) readers: Select a Reader number. The first reader must be 0, and
the second reader must be 1.
g.
Choose a Primary Reader.
h.
Click [OK].

Perform a database download to the access panel.

At this point, the reader should be online.

V-Smart Reader Operation
Before using the V-Smart reader, a Wiegand card format must be created for Bioscrypt smart cards, having a
maximum of 64 total number of bits on card. For more information, refer to
page 647.
1.
Present the smart card to the reader.
2.
When the light turns yellow, place your finger on the sensor. For enrollment and verification processes,
remember to use the RidgeLock for finger placement consistency.
3.
When the light turns off, remove your finger.

V-StationA-G and V-StationA-H
The V-StationA-G (MIFARE model) and V-StationA-H (iCLASS model) readers handle card and
fingerprint verification. Communication between the V-StationA (G or H) reader and the LNL-1300/1320/
2220/2210 is done via Wiegand connection.
