MorphoAccess SIGMA Series Reader
The MorphoAccess SIGMA
templates identification, or as a primary reader for reading DESFire EV1 cards encoded with the Open
Encoding Standard (DESFire) application and OpenCapture fingerprint templates. In this case, the
MorphoAccess SIGMA reader is connected to OnGuard via Ethernet.

Configure as an Alternate Bioscrypt Reader
In order to use the MorphoAccess SIGMA Series reader as a Bioscrypt fingerprint identification terminal,
configure it in System Administration as an alternate reader that is linked to a primary reader. For more
information, refer to

Wiring
Use AWG20 for 12V power supply when a POE supply is not used. The voltage specified is the one
measured on the product block connector: 12-24VDC (-15% / +10%).

Terminal Configuration (Legacy L1)
Serial communication must be set correctly. In order to configure this in SecureAdmin, complete the
following steps:
1.
On the terminal touchscreen, touch the key lock icon to log onto the device.
2.
Enter the device password in the keypad field, and then touch the check mark icon. By default, the login
password of the terminal is set as "12345".
3.
Set the correct Protocol Configuration: Legacy L1.
a.
Touch the System menu icon.
b.
From the System menu, select First Boot Assistant.
c.
Go to Protocol Configuration, and then select "Legacy L1" for Bioscrypt 4G Series Legacy Mode
terminals.
d.
Touch the check mark icon to save the setting.
4.
Set the correct Serial Communication parameters.
a.
Touch the Communication menu icon.
b.
From the Communication menu, select Serial Parameters, and then set the following parameters:
