Configure 4G Reader Connection to LNL-1320
In System Administration, complete the following steps to configure a 4G reader connected to the
LNL-1320 Dual Reader Interface.
When you add the primary reader:
-
Enter a Name for the primary reader.

Select the Panel the LNL-1320 is connected to.

Select "LNL-1320 (Dual Interface)" as the reader Type.

Select the Port from the panel that the LNL-1320 is connected to.
-
Select the Address of the LNL-1320.
-
Select "0" for the Reader number of the LNL-1320.

Select Biometric Verify.
When you add the 4G alternative reader:
-
Select the panel the LNL-1320 is connected to.
-
Select "LNL-1320 (Dual Interface)" as the reader Type.

Select "Bioscrypt RS-485" as the reader Output. (Alternate Reader will be enabled
automatically.)

Select the Port from the panel that the LNL-1320 is connected to.
-
Select the Address of the LNL-1320.
-
Select "1" for the Reader number of the LNL-1320.
-
From the drop-down, select the Primary Reader that was previously configured.
Complete the setup by performing the steps in
Configure Alarm Monitoring
1.
From the Options menu, select the following options:
Display Controller Capacity
Display Firmware Revisions
2.
Perform the Download Database operation on the panel.
3.
On the panel, verify the current number of biometric templates that are on the panel. Biometric
templates are required on the panel in order for the reader to work.
4.
Check that the firmware on the reader is Bioscrypt and is the latest version on the Compatibility Chart.

Enrollment Configuration

1.
With the reader connected to the computer using a USB cable, verify that "V-Series 4G (COM n)" is
listed in the Device Manager under Ports (this is the emulator).
2.
In System Administration, in the Cardholders folder, click [Capture] to start Multimedia Capture.
3.
Select the correct COM port and Baud rate for the Sensor settings.
4.
On the Fingerprint (Bioscrypt) tab, under Primary template, select the desired settings for Biometric
feature, Security level, and Store image.
5.
Capture biometrics. During enrollment for the primary template, the fingerprint template image is
displayed for the selected valid active cardholder badge.
