Safe mode
If an LPAR exists for which the NIC allocation is released, LPAR manager
starts in the safe mode. In the safe mode, the following operations are
suppressed:

If LPAR manager changes to the safe mode, confirm the ports specified as
the management path and the configuration of the LPAR for which
allocation is released, and modify the configuration if needed.
After confirming the LPAR configuration, release the safe mode and then,
if needed, save the configuration. Alternatively, if the ports specified as
the management path are incorrect, shut down LPAR manager and then
specify the correct ports.
In this case, the "Auto Activate" setting of the LPAR is also suppressed.
The LPAR for which "Auto Activate" is set is not automatically activated
after the safe mode is released. Activate the LPAR manually, or restart
LPAR manager and then execute the "Auto Activate" function.
If the migration source or target of LPAR migration is in the safe mode,
you cannot execute the migration.
You can display the safe mode status or release the safe mode by the
following operations:
