1 Power management software shuts down the Guest OS by the signal which comes

from UPS. (LPAR status becomes "Deactivate")
2 The LPAR manager does not shut-down itself by the signal from UPS. The LPAR

manager shuts down itself only when all the LPARs status became "Deactivate".
("Auto Shutdown" function has to be set to "Enable")
3 LPARs can be automatically activated when power supply from UPS has recovered.

("Auto Activate" function has to be set to "Enable")
Note:
• When UPS is used in the LPAR manager environment, it takes about 30
seconds longer for the server blade to stop working after a power failure
than in the Basic environment. More time may be required depending on
the number of activated LPARs.
