Turn the tensioner shaft clockwise with the stopper
tool to retract the tensioner and hold it in the fully
retracted position (page 8-4).
Measure the No. 1 and No. 3 cylinder intake valve
clearance by inserting a feeler gauge between the
valve lifter and cam lobe.
