Connect the pedal return spring as shown.
Install the rear brake light switch into the footpeg
bracket and connect the rear brake light switch
spring.
Install the footpeg bracket assembly onto the frame
and tighten the bracket bolts.
TORQUE : 26 N·m (2.7 kgf·m, 20 !bf.ft)
Tighten the master cylinder mounting bolts.
TORQUE : 9 N-m (0.9 kgf.m, 6.5 I bf.ft)
Apply brake fluid to a new 0-ring and install it onto
the reservoir hose joint.
Install the hose joint into the master cylinder.
Apply locking agent to the hose joint screw.
Install the screw and tighten it.
Connect the brake hose to the master cylinder with
the oil bolt and new sealing washers, and tighten
the oil bolt.
TORQUE : 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m , 25 lbf.ft)
Fill and bleed the rear brake hydraulic system
(page 15-3).
