Field descriptions
Enter the current synchronization stratum (3, 4)
Stratum
Appears when 4 is entered in the Stratum field.
Primary
Indicates the primary system synchronization source.
Leave blank for no synchronization.
Appears when 4 is entered in the Stratum field.
Secondary
Indicates the secondary system synchronization source.
Leave blank for no synchronization.
Circuit pack location of all administered DS1 circuit packs (port network,
Location
carrier and board slot)
User-defined name for the DS1 circuit pack.
Name
Enter y if DS1 circuit pack has slip alarm.
Slip
Appears when 3 is entered in the Stratum field.
Port
Display-only field specifying the port network that supplies
Network
synchronization through the tone clock circuit pack.

Enter change system-parameters maintenance to specify scheduled
maintenance operations and maintenance support functions. This command
activates and deactivates INADS alarm origination during repairs.
To deactivate alarm origination:
1. Enter change system-parameters maintenance and press
The Maintenance-Related System Parameters screen appears.
2. Make a note of the current entries in the Alarm Origination and CPE Alarm
fields so you can restore them later.
3. Enter neither in the Alarm Origination to OSS Numbers field.
4. Enter none in the CPE Alarm Activation Level field.
5. If daily Scheduled Maintenance is running and needs to be deactivated, set
the Stop Time field to one minute after the current time.
6. If daily scheduled maintenance must remain idle during a maintenance
procedure, set the Start Time field to a time after the session ends.
7. For earlier releases of system software, disable Cleared Alarm Notification
and Restart Notification.
